KANDAHAR LODGE AT WHITEFISH MOUNTAIN RESORT, Whitefish

Kandahar Lodge at Whitefish Mountain Resort has 50 rooms, including one Executive Suite. Room types include Lodge Rooms with two queen beds or one queen and a full sleeper sofa, Studio Rooms with one queen bed and one full sofa sleeper, and Loft Rooms with various queen bed configurations and sofa sleepers. Kitchen Loft Units combine a sleeping loft with a kitchen, dining, and living area. The Executive Suite features a king bed, three queen beds, and a full sofa sleeper, plus a full kitchen and laundry. Two Room Lodge Suites combine a Lodge Room with a Studio Room, featuring three queen beds, a full sofa sleeper, and two full baths. The Garret Room includes ski decor and a bistro table. All rooms provide microwaves, small refrigerators, coffee makers, air conditioning, and down comforters. All lodge rooms are non-smoking. Bed type preference cannot be guaranteed and will be allocated upon arrival based on availability.

Café Kandahar is an upscale restaurant onsite. The Café features an extensive wine list and has received 'The Wine Spectator Award of Excellence ' and the ' Wine Enthusiasts Award of Unique Distinction '. The Snug Bar offers an appetizer menu that varies seasonally, and expanded take-out options. The onsite bar serves a limited menu from Café Kandahar. Guests receive a continental breakfast with options like hard-boiled eggs, a meat and cheese tray, fresh fruits, pastries, muffins, cereals, juices, coffees, and oatmeal. For special events, Chef Andy Blanton creates custom menus. Buchanan's at Kandahar Lodge is a chop house and whisky bar serving Alberta beef, pasta, and fresh fish.

Kandahar Lodge provides a fitness center with a large screen TV, cardio machines, weight machines, free weights, a bosu ball, and a yoga mat. The Wellness Center includes a steam room and a large outdoor Jacuzzi with heated outdoor entry and heated flooring. Massage on the Mountain offers massage therapy. In winter, there is ski-in access to the back of the building, with a short walk to ski-out access, or use the lodge's shuttle to chairs 1 and 2. In summer, a chairlift provides summit access. Other activities include zip line tours and bike trails.

Kandahar Lodge is located at Whitefish Mountain Resort, 7 miles from the town of Whitefish. Glacier National Park is 32 miles away. The lodge is located in a ski-in location at Whitefish Mountain Resort. During the ski season, shuttles run between Whitefish and Whitefish Mountain Resort. Glacier Park International Airport is 35 km away. A free snow bus provides transport to downtown Whitefish.

Kandahar Lodge provides a complimentary welcome reception for ski groups. The east side of the Lobby can be used as a dance floor with a DJ or musician. The Northern Lights Room, located in the Wellness Center, accommodates group dining and parties. The lodge is available for rent for wedding parties and other events. The lodge offers meeting facilities, including the Northern Lights Conference Room and a Board Room. Audio and video equipment is available for rent. Free wireless internet is available. Kandahar Lodge can host corporate meetings, board retreats and arrange for on-site catering.
